Getting Local
I love living in California. There is so much to do (if you have the time).
Especially where I live, it is pretty good driving distance to a lot of places.
We got the mountains to one side, so you can go skiing and we got beaches to the
other, and San Diego and LA aren't to far away.
Some of my favorite places to go to are the
Third Street Promenade, in Santa Monica.
It is a European-style walk street that offers a lot of shops, restaurants, and
entertainment. There are always street performers there and one
of my favorites is this guy who has a psychic cat. Or at least that what he says
I still haven't gotten the
nerve to ask him about it, but just seeing him cracks me up. The Promenade leads up
to the Santa Monica Place Mall, and is a block or two from Santa Monica Pier. It is an ideal place to just relax and hang out.
One of the times that I went to Santa Monica Pier
they where filming Baywatch there. I got to meet some of the cast memebers. Interstingly
enough they were all really nice and polite! The picture above is of my friend
Priya, Michael Bergin, and me. Michael, is a new member to baywatch he just started
acting there is season. He is best known for is Calvin Klein Undies adds. I really hate
to say this, but he can't act! He is a really nice person though!
La Jolla
is one of my favorite beaches to go to. It is absolutely beautiful and breathtaking
there, which explains why the Spanish named it "the Jewel". Depending on the
time of year you go, you can catch some glimpses of whales, dolphins and sea lions.
A local radio station that I enjoy listening to is KROQ. I wake up and fall asleep
with this station. Kevin and Bean are so funny, some of the gags they have pulled are comedy. You can catch some of their crazy stints atThe Offical KROQ Web Page
